  5. Again, Chief Exposito is gone and WOW!! how much time and effort was put into his departure??? How many millions in media and city resources was waisted?? How many anti-exposito articles were written by the herald???? at the end a corrupt city hall found him guilty of what? a crime? No of circumventing a order from a rookie city manager. WOW huge victory for corruption right?

My point is a 300k a year fire chief is found guilty in federal of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. She was part of a group that defrauded over 11 Million. WHat makes it worse is that she was also a license mortgage broker which means she understoof everysingle paper she signed.

So how does the Miami Herald report this huge story????? by a small slush pice in the business section titled broward man they didnt even say she was a City of Miami chief but a Miami-Dade WOW talk about the Herald defrauding the citizens of a real story!!!!!

A Broward County man was sentenced to nine years in prison for engaging in two separate fraud schemes between 2005 and 2007, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

Manetirony Clervain, also known as Kevin Russell, pled guilty earlier this year to defrauding retailers by obtaining lines of credit under an assumed identity and running a separate mortgage fraud scheme in 2007.

Clervain recruited straw buyers to purchase condo units at the Club Caribe Project in Coconut Creek, using falsified loan documents to obtain more than $5.7 million in loans.

In a separate case, a former assistant to Miami-Dade’s fire chief was found guilty of taking part in an $11 million mortgage fraud scheme in Aventura, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

Veldora Arthura was found guilty of acting as a straw buyer for a unit at the Hidden Bay Condo complex in Aventura. Arthura, who received $317,000 for her role in the fraud, will be sentenced on Dec. 16. She faces a maximum sentence of 20 years. Also convicted were Neil Fagan, who recruited straw buyers for the scheme, and Pamela Johnson, who handled the real estate closings.

  7. If they do to Veldora what they did to Don Warshaw, she will not keep her pension.
Might you consider staying alert on that issue for us? She should not get another freakin penny.
Then again, that is the kind of thing the city of Miami would ignore, in hopes that nobody will notice.
