I need a favor...

Can you help me out?  I own a tag agency and I'm missing a ton of money, the state's after my ass and I owe them a boatload worth of taxes and fees, can anyone help me out?  If the tag agency owner is one of us, just a plain old citizen, good luck, not a chance.  But what if the person that owns the tag agency that in question is hooked up?  Perhaps even hooked up with law enforcement?  If indeed the owner of the tag agency is hooked up and there's an investigation by the police, who do you think the police would side with?  The owner of the tag agency or their employees?  I think the answer to that question is fairly obvious.

Those of you who've been following our blog over the last few weeks are now all too familiar with the Airways Tag Agency story, basically in a nutshell, the police alleged that three tellers working at the agency were skimming tens of thousands of dollars from the operation.  The owner claimed to have found out about the skim when there were constant shortages both in the cash taken in and the tags going out.  Although the investigating cop's theory of the case makes no sense whatsoever, at the end of the day one thing is certain, there is a lot of money missing that's unaccounted for, whether or not the tellers that were arrested is another story.

So you have to wonder what the owner of this particular tag agency must have been going through, tens of thousands of dollars missing, shortages with the state, department of revenue hot on your trail demanding the money that you owe them, etc.  What to do?  The logical explanation is to call the cops, in this instance do you think the owner of the tag agency called 911 or perhaps they got the detectives to take a look at the situation from a different angle?  To fully understand the dynamics of how this went down, we first have to see who actually owns this tag agency.  Let's go to Sunbiz and see what we can find under Airways Auto Tag Agency...

There we go, based on what we see here, the registered agent for this company is Ileana Martinez De Castro.  Doesn't ring any bells for me, but a quick Google search reveals that there's another Martinez De Castro around town, a fella that dresses like this...

Chief Orlando Martinez de Castro

That guy is the City of South Miami's police chief, Orlando Martinez de Castro who according to property records just happens to live in the same home as the owner of Airways Tag Agency!  Convenient to say the least!  Now, with that in mind, who do you think called the cops when they found money missing from their tag agency?  Is there any doubt in anyone's mind that the Chief called his friends over at the MDPD to look in to the matter?  Any doubt that the investigating officers showed a bit of bias towards the owners of the tag agency versus the poor tellers that were arrested?

This borders on the obscene.  The facts of the case, at least in my opinion, don't implicate the tellers that were charged, there was a totally bullshit hour long investigation that resulted in tellers getting arrested and the owner of the business just happens to be married to the police chief of a neighboring town.  Justice?  My ass.

  10. Seems to me this is all a BIG PLOT between the Martinez fam and baluja... I agree with the last comment Miami should get together and help those tellers gain they're life back!!!!!!! And put those assholes in prison... Poor tellers must be going through a nightmare with all of this... Everything makes a lot of sense if the chief is family with the owner then definately the detectives are close friends of theirs that's why it was done so corrupted because it was all between them. Normally you call 911 and put the suspects under observation until you catch them how the bell are you just going to bash into a business out of no whereand take the tellers without explanations actually reasonable explanations eat a corrupted world

  11. i want to see that guys and fam face when channel 7 arrives on monday to the tag agency and i will make sure MIAMI GETS TOGETHER WITH ME TO CATCH THIS GUYS LETS DO IT

  15. “No matter the rank, all police officers are expected to perform their duty to serve and protect the public. Also, these incidents are golden opportunities for superiors to encourage, promote and demonstrate our support for the troops, since we are leading by example,” Martinez de Castro said in an interview.

so this are the words martinez de castro said on a case he had after arresting a guy in bird road people if you enter his name you will find so many people that he arrested and suppose he ran after him yeah a 62 year old fat ass please grow some sense

so in other words this case for Baluja and him is exceptional, THEY caught 3 tellers oh wow stilling his money and it took only in christmas season for him to notice how thousands of dollars disappear AND SUCH A GREAT DETECTIVE NEVER NOTICE ...COME ON MARTINEZ YOU GOT CAUGHT AND THAT IS PLAIN AN SIMPLE DUDE YOUR DAY HAS ARRIVED AND IF YOU DID NOT RETIRED AT AGE 62 THE STATE WILL MAKE YOU RETIRED IN PRISON .

  16. “If we don’t pick them up today; we’ll catch them down the road,” said Chief Orlando Martinez De Castro of South Miami Police

another words he said after arresting a lot of black people on drug charges now i quote: he better use those words now he commited that skeem on his own tag agency and ORLANDO sorry to tell u got caught down the road, you fucked up just like a real carrier criminal you are .... you have to eat your own words

  17. Remember, Boss Man Mirabile: local, local, local!

I also hear that a longtime and loyal police officer resigned within a few days after it was confirmed that former SM Police Chief, Orlando Martinez de Castro, will return for a second tour of duty as Chief … so it leads me to wonder what THAT’s all about.

Speaking of recent history (and much to the dismay of good friend and ex-Mayor Horace Feliu), Chief Martinez de Castro was rehired and got a five-year contract to boot. Now I like the new Chief with his unique style and personality. We always got along well, so I’m okay with him in the Chief’s uniform once again.

so the guy leaves the police and comes back even the police department found that weird and thanks to the straw buyer now we know why he was broke and he needed money.. some innocent people pay for it and he should stay home and leave honorable but now they found out he was dis honest

  18. That being said, our once-again Chief negotiated a good deal for himself (and his family) so we truly wish him well as he embarks on whatever cleanup policies he may prioritize. I can’t wait until the first big drug bust makes our front page as well as the 11 o’clock news.

THOSE ARE THE WORDS THEY PUT ON THE NEWS PAPER AND YOU SEE HOW THEY HIGHLIGHT FAMILY AND HE COULDN'T WAIT FOR THE FIRST BIG DRUG BUST ....OKAY SORRY HE CAME BACK TO RUINED HIS LIFE AND HIS FAMILY LIFE ONCE AGAIN WE PROOF HE CAME BACK BECAUSE HE HAD NO MONEY HE NEEDED MONEY AND A LOT OF IT HE BUSTED THE WRONG PEOPLE ....SEE THIS ARE THE THINGS YOU PEOPLE DID NOT KNOW OR DONT KNOW HOW TO CATCH UP ....THE STRAW BUYER CAUGHT TO ALL HIS BULL CRAP QUICK SMART MOVE

  19. What's funny is the City of Miami Police Department refused to take this case and somehow the Miami Dade police department decided to handle it. WOW!

  20. All i have to say about this case (knowing these tag agency employees personally as a customer)is that these tellers are great and honest people. And what was done to them is a crime, these pigs have tried to destroy their lives for the past ten months but they are strong and will not give up till justice is made. They had normal lives till this crime was pushed on them. But I know that they are going to win this case, because they didnt do this... believe me there was no one this could of been done. There was way too much control with the accounting there. May we have justice!

  21. Today there are those poor tellers, tomorrow may be one of us. This has to stop. The garbage has to go in his place.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Right.... So bad things can never happen to someone if they are a related to someone in a position of power. Under this theory employees in this situations should just bleed them because it will always be some sort of conspiracy and some sort of cover up. I have a question, did you interview the owner of the agency or the chief? This isn't objective, this is your ax to grind. What is your personal beef with the detective in this case or is it all cops? You have made a pretty little story here.... Are you playing at being a real journalist because I don't read an objective story.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yes it is a nice little story, follow along and you'll see the truth backed up with facts. Axe to grind? Hardly. This cop has a history of fucking up, making bullshit cases, ruining people's lives then having the cases nolle prossed before they make it to court. If you don't believe me, go through the blog and read some of his cases that I've written about and you judge for yourself. The prosecutors call him not only lazy but an idiot as well, not just one but every prosecutor that's been involved with him including his dear friend Kostrzewski who calls him "incompetent".

Facts? Wait till you read the transcripts of the owner of the tag agency trying to defend herself.

  24. Not only because you are a corrupted cop oh no as you call your self chief , that doesn't mean that the straw buyer is not a real journalist ...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Castro,Castro,Castro the name says it all corruption, lie, falsehood, hypocrisy, abuse of power, don't need to say more.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The straw buyer does a better job of research that stupid corrupt policemen hired by the agency.

    ReplyDelete
  27. 9:31, I agree, I'm not a real journalist. A real journalist wouldn't spend hundreds of hours researching a case, going to the courthouse, interviewing people, researching state files etc for a story that's not glamorous that involves regular everyday people that no one wants to hear about. You want real news? Watch the garbage that they pass off as local news, you want to read something from a real journalist? Take a look at this post then get back to me about "real journalists...

  31. It is very sad to see the poor evidence and investigation conducted towards this case. All I have heard that the state attorney office is taking under consideration are all the lies that the owner of this tag agency has told and whatever the arresting officers said on their reports. I feel very disappointed as a citizen of this county since I personally know one of the tellers and will put my hands on fire for her. She is one of my best friends, not to say that she is the best. We have known each other for years, and I would say that as a friend I support her and believe in her 200%. She is a single hard working mother that was putting herself thru school to be able to provide a better life for her family, and now everything in her life has stopped because someone spent money that did not belong to them. I’m just saying, very convenient for this owner to find out after months that her employees were stealing from her!! Didn’t she have an accountant that closed these registers at the end of each day? Oh, let me just tell you, the accountant is part of the owner’s family too!!!!
