Plantation police officers $16mm mortgage fraud case, let's take a look at the indictment.

After diligently searching we've come up with a copy of the indictment the government filed against the police officers and the FBI agent that we talked about last week.  Take a look...

If indeed the allegations in the indictment are true then, there seems to be a lot more going on than simply misstating facts on a loan application.   We'll discuss tomorrow...

  1. What do you see? There are the claims of false statements on the mortgages (for which details are not provided) and then they pile on bogus overcharging by making down payments wire fraud, calling finder's fees to the property manager who found a buyer to flip the property to a kickback, ... If the prosecutor had a good case for the mortgage fraud he would not need to pile it on with the junk charges. And he doesn't show any of the detail for the supposedly false statements on each of the mortgages listed. If those told a good story, you can be sure he would show the details. Grand jury should have made him wear this indictment out of the court as a dunce cap.
