On another note, yesterday our friend Francisco Alvarado gave us a mention over at the Miami New Times in his "Miami CFO Larry Spring's House of Disorder" story...
In case you're not familiar with our coverage of the City of Miami CFO Larry Spring's foreclosure and possible mortgage fraud misadventures, here's a quick run down...
- We learn that a home that Larry Spring had purchased back in 2004 and subsequently refinanced (cashed out no less) was foreclosed on less than two years after the refinance.
- Next we find out that home in question was Larry Spring's mothers home, a home that he apparently purchased from his mother under somewhat suspicious circumstances then subsequently stripped of all its equity.
- Now we find out that there seems to be overwhelming evidence that Mr. Spring may have never lived at the home in question after he purchased it and conclude that if he represented otherwise to the lenders that Mr. Spring may have committed mortgage fraud.
- After examining the mortgage docs for the two loans Mr. Spring took out on the subject home we discover the he represented the home as being his primary residence to both the lenders therefore making what seems to be an ironclad case for a mortgage fraud prosecution against Mr. Spring.
Why hasn't Regalado fired him?
ReplyDeleteLarry Spring is nothing but a white collar criminal. Why do the taxpayers have to pay him?
