That pesky email again...

Someone sent us hidden camera footage of City of South Miami police chief Orlando Martinez de Castro reading yesterdays blog post...

Just kidding!  We left off yesterday discussing an email that the embattled City of South Miami police chief, Orlando Martinez de Castro sent out to former city manager Hector Mirabile, Major Rene Landa and Major Ana Baixauli where he apologized for the mess that he had created by sending city business over to his wife's tag agency, in his own words...
Hector, I am shame that I have put u and Ana in this ridiculous position.  It should have never happen.
Disregard the horrific spelling and grammar, the message is still the same, the chief is fessing up for creating this mess by sending the city business over to his wife's tag agency despite the fact that he's vehemently denied doing so both to the media, the ethics commission and his own police department.  What the chief's given us and the ethics commission now is as close as we're going to get to a smoking gun in this case.

Now, let's look at the rest of the email in it's entirety, as always click on the image to enlarge...

Honestly, is that the best the chief can do?  After apologizing for making the mess then he turns and attacks the Miami Herald reporter that wrote about my story then goes on to call me a con man and a scumbag.  Let's get something out of the way real quick, put yourself at ease fatman, I'm a scumbag, a fraudster, crook, conman and whatever else you want to call me.  Great, labeling me like that does nothing to dilute any of the things that you've done which are far worse that being a fraudster, crook or conman.  What makes you even worse than the criminals that you allegedly go after is that you engage in illegal and unethical behaviors while wearing the badge of a law enforcement officer who has sworn to uphold the laws and constitution of this country, that in my book makes you the worst kind of criminal.

While the chief and his cronies are trying to figure out how to spin their way out of the latest chapter of this mess, I'll leave you with this quote from the former governor of the great state of New York...
"Never talk when you can nod, and never nod when you can wink, and never write an e-mail because it's death.  You're giving prosecutors all the evidence we need."

Elliott Spitzer, interview with ABC news, circa 2006 as Attorney General of New York.

We'll be back Monday where we'll look at Major Landa's response to the chief's email and try to figure out whether he's the ultimate ass kisser or the wittiest and most sarcastic member of the South Miami police force.

  1. The self-indulging, warped justification and transference of blame, this man’s mine and delusion is of great concern.
Mr. City Manager (Alexander), you need to get this sick man out of command. He is clearly in the fight of his career and is in great desperate need of help.
ORLANDO MARTINEZ DE CASTRO you are one sick individual!
Not content! Really – you have the balls to blame Miami Herald’s Andrea Torres for your criminal ass MOFIA cultured mishaps THAT YOU CREATED.
You, Mr. Orlando are the one who thought and choose of FREE WILL to commit these crimes. And the more this blogger exposes of you and your mess (GREAT WORK MIKE!) the more the tax payers of the City of South Miami are aware how deep this really goes. Now the statement: “She is not to be trusted and is with an agenda” Orlando, you Dumb Ass *&^%*, she is the media and NOT OBLIGATED to hold your CRIMINAL SECRETS. It is her job in JOURNALISM, as a JOURNALIST - to expose (reporter reporting) the NEWS and let the public know what’s going on (Thank you Andrea Torres) that is suppose to be her AGENDA! Now it’s the foul “Carmel on the case” who did not do her homework on the lies that the FAT ASS Newman blurted on camera and during a commission meeting. By the way I hope the Mayor is going to sue Newman, Sharon, Hector and Carmel along with the dumb ass officer who forged the report some 16 months later. Don’t you dumb asses know you messed with the Nutty Professor?  He is a researcher and will do his research - DAHHH
AndrĂ©a Torres, Orland has issued a: I’m not your friend. UHHHHH
Who in this world wants to be friends with the likes of this criminal, MOFIA, WARPED MINDED CRAPPER.
Orlando, if you had only taken your own suggestion as in the email you sent:
If only you had: “Conduct yourself with stick business (City Business), you would not be in this SHAME”

Shame on: You, your wife, ReneL., and AnaB.

YOU and Your wife, no one else! Is the SHAME!

  2. I'm at a loss to undcerstand how the citizens of the city can possibly tolerate this behavior from a Police Chief. Furthermore that email is so unprofessional and reflects the most disgraceful grammar I have ever witnessed in 30+ years of public service. This is a total embarrassment.

    1. I find this behavior totally unexceptionable. I think its is high time for the City Manger to fire the Chief. I would support that discision. This is a mockery of our city. To be very honest, I wish the residence who find this unexceptionable would come send an email to the current city manager, and come to the next commission meeting and request this man be removed from his position.

The more information shared on this blog the more I find this man is not worthy of our hard earned tax dollars. He has disrespected, used, mocked, and abused this city and the privilege of being the Commander and Chief our Police Department is not one that he can successfully maintain. His criminal actions are not only offensive to the residence who pay is salary, but to the badge of honor that he holds. He is self loathing and unworthy of the benefits and title that come with his package as a chief.

  3. When Andrea was going to publish her story on the City buying auto tags from the Chief's wife's agency, I am told that the Chief called up Andrea's editor, Scott Andron, and tried to convince him that the story was ot newsworthy. Mr Andron replied to the Chief that he had been in journalism for a number of years and he knew what was newsworthy!
